Marcus
After graduating from Salford University in 1994 with an HND in Audio and Video systems, Marcus worked for various broadcasters in the South East including The Maidstone Studios, Pearson Television and Corinthian at Chiswick Park.
He then worked as senior engineer for 13 years for a major broadcast hire facility helping to establish their presence in the North West.
He has extensive knowledge of configuring camera channels, RF systems engineering and EVS. Since joining SevenStars he has been much in demand for studio engineering, OB vision engineering and RF engineering as well as Technical Producing for remote production.
Kate
Having worked up from Post Production Runner, through Transmission engineering and Studio Engineering, Kate worked as a freelance (soleTrader) Vision Engineer for many years in the North West; she started SevenStars Broadcast Ltd in 2015 and since then has been booked as a regular Technical Resource Manager and Technical Producer for remote sporting productions for the BBC and other major broadcasters.
Kate is extremely familiar with BBC Sport’s streaming workflows in Salford as well as regular OB vision engineering, studio engineering and Tech Producing.
Alex
Alex is the latest member to join the SevenStars team. Helping part time with general administration and office work whilst studying for his OCR level 3 in Engineering, Btec level 3 in Applied science and AS Level in Design Technology.
Alex hopes to progress on to either study Broadcast Engineering at University or an equivalent apprenticeship in the broadcast engineering field.
Eventually Alex hopes to join Kate and Marcus as a full time member of the team.
